Strides
Community Strides is a unique organization with a variety of social recreation programs. Our programs are specifically designed to support neurodivergent young adults, and we gladly welcome and encourage neurotypical young adults to become a part of our community. Our mission focuses on offering social recreational opportunities that help foster community, personal development, and meaningful connections for all participants. By encouraging neurotypical young adults to join, we aim to create a diverse and inclusive space that benefits everyone involved.
Monthly Socials
Each month, we host social events designed to offer young adults with disabilities the chance to connect with their peers while participating in engaging activities or exciting field trips. For many of our clients, building and maintaining social relationships can be challenging as adults. Our socials aim to create a welcoming space where friendships can blossom and lasting memories are made, all while having fun! We are dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable environment where meaningful connections can grow and thrive
Summer Program
Each Summer Community STRIDES offers a summer program with a variety of activities designed to engage, inspire, and create unforgettable experiences. From outdoor adventures and art projects to numerous action-packed field trips, our summer program is all about having the most fun with your peers while exploring all that San Diego has to offer. Join us for a summer filled with exploration, growth, and lasting memories!
Community Connections
Community Connections is our personalized community integration program. Each clients unique interests and needs are assessed and they are given the opportunity to explore their hobbies with the support of a 1:1 staff member in the community. Community Integration is essential for enabling individuals to meaningfully participate in all aspects of life from joining a dance class to attending a local sporting event. With Community Connections, the possibilities for exploration are endless.
